Summer Series of Missions
It has been a wonderful summer, hearing from our overseas evangelists, hearing what God has done through our brethren. We were thrilled and honored to have Moses, Jessie, and Suto Akpanudo with us in June, to tell us what God has done in Nigeria. Moses told us how we can help him, by purchasing printing equipment, so that tracts can be printed and distributed to those who come to hear the Gospel preached.
Robert and Faye Hall came in July to tell us about the exciting evangelistic work going on in India, wherein 137,885 Gospel Meetings were held, resulting in 241,616 new brothers and sisters being added to Jesus Kingdom, and 1,174 new congregations being formed to care for themall of this in just 2008!
God sent Jerry and Connie Tallman to us in August, to encourage us on how to better outreach the souls white unto harvest right in our own backyard!
To wrap up our summer series of missions, God sent Don and Nell Bone to us to tell us the exciting story of how Eastern European Mission is producing and distributing Bibles in the public schools in and around Donetsk, Ukraine!and its all legal!
Last week, God sent us Jerry and Donna Morgan to tell us the story of how the love of Jesus is shown to the marginalized, invisible people of Kremenchuk, Ukraine: 2,000 orphans, abandoned by their parents. The Morgans passion is focused on raising money and material donations to send a huge sea container four times a year to these unimaginably impoverished children.
Say not the heathen are at home, Beyond we have no call,
For why should we be blessed alone? The Gospel is for all!
Received ye freely, freely give, from every land they call,
Unless they hear, they cannot live, the Gospel is for all!
